The Magic of Theater

Educational Mission
We believe that the experience of live theater in performance and in the classroom can catalyze transformation, foster full self-expression, and generate a true sense of community that will profoundly impact the lives of young people and their teachers.

Educational Goals
While the most important aspect of our mission is to share our productions with audiences throughout the region and the world, our education and community outreach programs allow us to connect with our audiences on another level, involving them directly in the exciting process of creating theater. Through these programs, we seek to:

Foster self-expression, encourage teamwork, inspire self-confidence and success, and light up the imagination
Offer young people unlimited opportunities to discover and develop hidden talents
Provide information and support to teachers who wish to integrate theater forms and techniques into their curriculum and classroom activities
Engage families and neighbors in celebrating the power of youthful imagination through student created performances
Help children learn the language of movement and physical theater
Expose students to a variety of theater forms, enabling them to experience the full scope of our work
