Bringing Enchantment to Your School

Pre- or Post-Performance Teaching Artist Presentations
ETC teaching artists are available to visit your classroom to help prepare students for the show. Students will be introduced to the story, characters and themes, and the different theater forms they will see in the play. Our artists are also available after the performance to discuss your students' theater experience, and to introduce them to the possibility of creating their own production. These presentations are available as an assembly program or a classroom demonstration.

School Workshops and Residencies
ETC teaching artists offer workshops and residencies for children and adults in mask-making, puppetry and physical theater. Although the basic principles of what is presented are simple, relevant and appropriate for all students, each workshop is customized to the size, needs, age, skill level and orientation of each group. Workshops include:

  • Introduction to Mask, Puppetry, Magic or Physical Theater: Workshops to introduce students to different theater forms

  • Create Your Own Production: Residency program engaging students in the process of writing, designing, rehearsing and performing their own theater piece
