Adapted by Jennifer Blatchley Smith, Landis Smith & Leslie Reidel Directed by Leslie Reidel National Symphony Repertoire A wave of the wand, the beat of the baton, the Magic Happens! Enchantment Theatre Company transports young audiences to the magical world of Prokofiev's Cinderella. Follow Cinderella on her journey of self-discovery from her humble hearthside to her transformation into a princess. Along the way you'll meet her ridiculous puppet stepsisters, her ethereal Fairy Godmother and, of course, her Prince Charming. You will see the enchanted pumpkin transform into an elegant coach with mouse-horse and lizard-footman. The sparkling ballroom will unfold before your eyes as Cinderella's dreams come true. Featuring masks, life-sized puppets, transforming scenery, and surprising costume effects, Enchantment Theatre Company brings to life Prokofiev's humorous and evocative music as the orchestra plays the part of musical storyteller. This is a "Happily Ever After" experience for orchestra and audience! After Enchantment Theatre Company's performance, your audience will want to return again and again to the concert hall.
